Sound Object was a research and development project funded by the Arts Council of Wales
Working with sound artist and technologist Ant Dickinson to develop a module that will allow me to incorporate sound into tactile sculptures using Arduino.
The images below chart our progress as we brought together textiles and technology – ending up with “Shell Like” a shell which makes the sounds of the sea when you lift it up to your ear.
“Shell like” was exhibited in Craft in the Bay in 2018
And is now available for exhibition.
